Scar treatment

Scars are formations from fibrous tissue which replace normal skin after it has been damaged. The tissue forming the scars is not identical to the tissue they replace and its functionality is not complete.

Scar smoothing can be achieved through their treatment with the Pixel2940nm ER:YAG fractional ablative laser. To reduce the scar reddening, treatment with intense pulsed light is applied.
