Acne treatment

What is acne?

The basic mechanisms for acne development include a combination of:

      • plugging of the follicles (adipose gland channels), which creates conditions for
         formation of comedones (black heads))

      • increased fatty secretion from the adipose glands

      • bacterial inflammatory reaction

      • genetic predisposition

      • hormonal disbalance

Acne treatment includes general and local therapy. General treatment is usually resorted to in the hard cases or when faster improvement is necessary. It is compulsorily applied under the supervision of a dermatologist. Local treatment includes means and procedures that reduce adipose secretion, eliminate the bacterial infection and remove the acne spots and scars.
