What are cellulite and fats? Adipose tissue consists of adipose cells. The adipose cells, located between the skin and the muscles, are differentiated in large groups, separated by fibrin dividers. These fibrin dividers are connected from the one side to the muscles, and from the other to the skin and have the function to support the adipose tissue, which is divided into small sections. When the adipose cells are enlarged (with the increase in the body weight), the space between the skin and the muscles increases.
